Happy Feet

I did a review on Happy Feet which got deleted as well… so here goes…

I caught Happy Feet recently and it got a thumbs up from me. I give it an A+ so if you haven’t watched it go book a ticket now! It’ll definitely but a smile on your face… laughter in your belly and a song in your heart.

Despite it’s serious undertones and solid social messages it sends out in regards to wildlife and conservation, it still manages to be entertainingly funny and cute. The music is well selected, catchy and vibrant. Brittany Murphy, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman and even Robin Williams do the voice over and singing for their respective characters. I’m not surprised but Nicole Kidman’s (Norma Jean) strong vocals as she has proven to be quite a songstress in previous movies such as Moulin Rouge. However, I had no idea Brittany Murphy (Gloria) could sing so well! Robin Willams was the voice of both Ramone and Loveless which were one of the cheekiest and funniest characters! I’m definitely getting the soundtrack!

In fact, I’ve got Happy Feet as my wallpaper now and if you wanna have a copy just click the thumbnail below to open and save!

I Hate To Have To Repeat Myself!

Categories: Blog Technical Updates.

Unfortunately, today while trying to sort out some technical problems with my blog I lost my previous 2 post! Kinda sad that they aren’t retrievable but I guess I just have to learn my lesson the hard way about the importance of creating backups!

So for those who managed to catch my previous 2 entries please bear with me while I repeat myself.

In a nutshell, I got my own domain after much encouragement by Mr Cool*. He lent me his idle domain (blackpaintbrush.com) for me to try out and gave me a basic tutorial about using ftp and coding php before I took the giant leap of faith and registered renzze.com . Though faced with much difficulties especially for a IT noob as myself I managed to get everything up and running. With my own site I have much more control compared to when I was with blogspot but I’m still in the process of learning how to control and what possibilities I may have with new knowledge.

I welcome any feedbacks on the site! And thanks to all my friends for changing their link address from renzze.blogspot.com to www.renzze.com … I know what a chore it can be =)

Some noteworthy changes:
- It’s a new layout and you can click on the small thumbnails below my main title to change the background to your liking. I initially wanted to use National Geographic pictures for my background because I’ve quite a collection and they are such beautiful pictures! But due to copyright laws I didn’t. Will change or add new background selection from my own travels in the near future.
- Added a shopping cart on the top right to sell some of my stuffs but it’s not fully set up yet.
- Added links of some friends which I never got round to doing in my old blog.
- Added categories so that you can choose to view all related post.
- A search function to the right of the main title can be used to find anything within the blog.
- Activated comments so you can choose to comment or leave a tag.
- Removed google adsense

My site looks perfect with Firefox and I highly recommend viewing with Firefox. I know that it’s a tad screwed in Internet Explorer. I will work on that when I have the time…

* name has been concealed at the request of the mentioned.

Doggie Update

Posted on November 24th, 2006 by Karen Ashley Ng.
Categories: My Doggies.

As promised, I’m gonna dedicate this post to my beloved Cocker Spaniel, Louis. He’s now 6mths old and a lot bigger than when he first arrived. In the past couple of months having him has drastically altered my lifestyle. I’ve had pets before but it had been largely taken care of by my mom or grandma or the maid. Now that I oversee every little aspect of Louis well being do I truly comprehend the meaning and commitment of owning a pet.

It’s quite similar to having a new child I suppose. He’s cute and affectionate. You play with him… Feed him… Bring him for walks or a swim at the sea. But as any pet owner will tell you… It’s not always rosey. You also have to deal with stinky poop… chewing of stuff when you are not at home… taking time out of your busy life to groom him… waking up early on a weekend to make sure he has his breakfast… or taking him to run outdoors even when all you wanna do is laze at home. One of the reasons for this entry is to inform friends that would like to own a pet in the near future the considerations that need to factor in while deciding to get a pet. I’ve known and heard of too many eager families or young couples buying a puppy only to abandon or give it away within the the 1st month of taking it home.Of course many pet owners have the luxury of maids to do all the nasty chores but I don’t and I won’t want one. It’s through all the good and bad times… the little sacrifices and adjustments you make for this little furball that bonds you to him. He can be as naughty as a monkey but when I go on a holiday… he’s constantly in my thoughts.

Louis gives me something that is rare in this age and time. He gives unconditional love. No matter how you scold or beat him… he will always love you and want you. Sometimes when he is sound asleep… I will quietly leave the room to not disturb him.. but somehow he always realizes it and wakes up to follow me even when I go to the bathroom. He’s contented to sleep outside the toilet door to wait for me to come out before going back to his bed.

These are some recent pictures of him… taken while he’s cuddling on me and when I bring him to picnics at the beach.
