I’ve been meaning to blog about my Taiwan trip on a daily basis but have been busy the last few days helping out a friend for her wedding. It seems that a lot of people I know are tying the knot these couple of years! I’ve been attending one to two weddings every month since last year and as far as I know I have been informed of more up till June 2010! And of course I have a baby shower thrown here and there once every 2-3 months. It’ rather telling of my age isn’t it.

Anyways since the CNY is in a week’s time, I though I’ll share with you a new place to shop for shoes in this post. I will be continuing on Taiwan in the next post!

I received this gorgeous pair of booties a month ago from Eyeffass and have been meaning to showcase them here but wasn’t able to do so due to my constant travelling the last 2 months. It comes in 3 colors but I went for classic black.

I’ve brought them with me and they too have garnered their own attention overseas. A friend even though they were Christian Louboutins ( one of my favorites!) because of the red soles! And this pair that is specially imported by Eyyefass is only SGD$40!

The black booties are easy to match yet never dull because of the beautiful designs when viewed up close.  I’ve worn them with leggings for those cold winter days and wore then with my bare legs and a mini shift dress for hot nights out in Singapore. Either way it works and it is absolutely eye-catching.

Here are more close up shots of this gorgeous pair of booties with the beautiful eyelet details and scalloped edges.  The details is exactly what enthralls me. I’m toying with the idea of wearing red colored stockings so the eyelets can show the contrast of red and might do that when I go overseas during the CNY period. Are you in love yet?

In fact, I think the people behind Eyyeffass has really good tastes in shoes cause the other shoes are just as beautiful without the sort of price tags that would give you a cardiac arrest! Here’s another pair which I was captivated by previously. I think it’s the perfect work shoes…. just the right amount of fanciness.

All girls love beautiful shoes right! But not all beautiful shoes comes with pocket friendly price tags. But amazingly here’s the one place! So head on to http://eyyeffass.livejournal.com before they all run out. There are even more surprise there in store for you other than shoes.

I haven’t had time to post up new entires for my Taiwan trip but don’t worry they’ll be coming up soon… meanwhile here’s a sneak peak on some of the stuff I do while I’m back in Singapore… (other than work of course!)

I posted about being a ClubCouture Ambassador some time back in this post. And they arranged for all their 2010 ClubCouture ambassadors to come together for a small photo shoot session some time in December.

I take a multitude of photos everyday ( as you can see my blog is filled with all sorts of photos!) but some how a studio shot photo is still rather alien with me. You must find it weird cause I take holiday photos and outfit photos all the time! But it’s done in a casual, I don’t give a damn kinda way and my impression of studio shoots are that they are more focus on being glamorous. Another reason could be because of the the makeup! I’m a simple person with a simple routine… sunblock followed by eyeliner + falsies. Fast and easy and gets me out of the house in a jiffy (means I won’t be late for work!). No foundation, no eye shadows, no lipstick and sometimes not even blusher. And my last confession, I’m lazy to do my brows unless it’s for some big event. So you can imagine how uncomfortable having thick studio makeup might be on me! Luckily they had makeup artists there because I would be so lost if I had to do it myself.

The studio’s dressing room was quickly transformed into a girly joint. The girls having their hair and make up done while catching up or getting to know new people.

Flora and Kaitlyn, the lovely lovely people at ClubCouture even ordered McDonalds for those who skipped breakfast. The whole atmosphere was friendly and relaxed which is fantastic! It made everyone feel like a part of the team instead of just work. Holly Jean and I got paired up together for the shoot and it was really nice getting to know her. We were the earliest there so after we were done we had some spare time to discuss about what clothes from ClubCouture’s current collection we loved and wanted to take home with us!

I love Holly’s black lace dress and and I got it for myself too! It’s so hot that it got swept off the shelves soon after it was released. But if you are interested, they do have a 3/4 sleeves version of this same dress that ClubCouture just launched.

I know you guys all are dying to see the photos from the shoot so here you go!

I’ll also take this chance to introduce some of the other ClubCouture Ambassadors.

Rachel Kum: http://www.rachelkum.com/

Melissa Faith Yeo: http://melissafaithyeo.blogspot.com/

Agri Velt: http://agrivelt.com/

Holly Jean: http://holly–jean.blogspot.com/

Renzze (Karen): http://www.renzze.com/

Paperger (Huirong): http://myfatpocket.com/huirong/

Jeanine Gabrielle: http://bamboopandalove.wordpress.com/

And girls being girls, we had to take even more photos backstage while waiting in turn for each other to have their photos taken! Most of the girls are experienced with studio photography. As for me, well, it’s an eye opener to see how everything runs and how composed these girls are when the bright lights are on them. They pose confidently and pout beautifully, making such wonderful ambassadors for ClubCouture! Hopefully I’ll learn a tip or two from these pros. =)

And with the generosity of ClubCouture, I was able to wrangle a freebie for my lovely readers as well!

I will be giving this brand new lovely Lindsay Black Dress in size S  from ClubCouture’s current collection worth SGD59 to one lucky reader!

Today’s postings has been all about accessories, shoes and now clothes! It’s the holiday season so everyone’s in a buying mood including me. Don’t worry though, while today maybe an overdose of recommendations and gorgeous outfit choices, for those of you trying to stay away from temptations, I will be going back to daily postings on food and adventures tomorrow onwards.

Meanwhile, let me introduce Gipsyscarlet.  The pictures were taken awhile back but I couldn’t release them earlier. Gipsyscarlet is an up and coming blogshop and are in fact so new that their official website is not even up yet! Their current temporary site is at http://gipsyscarlet.livejournal.com and their soft launch will be on the 2nd December so look out for them.

They sponsored me this black and white dress and it is such a demure and girly piece! So sweet and innocent looking yet it comes with a hint of sexiness when you realize the back of the dress is cut out! I could put on a jacket for work and take it off for drinks in the evenings.

90% of Gipsyscarlet clothings are self-manufactured and comes in limited quantities for more exclusivity . They are also planing on importing clothings from Korea in the future. They keep up with the trends and try to be inspired by designers and celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Miranda Kerr, Nicky Hilton while making sure that their prices stay competitive for those of us who rather not splurge a couple of hundreds on a dress that won’t last 2 seasons.

You can join their mailing lists for updates and monthly discounts / promotions through emails or SMS. As their launch offer, they are providing next-day delivery at their doorstep for customers who purchase 3 dresses or more.
No more worries about delayed or lost mails! It can’t get better than this!

I’ll put up a couple more outfits they are releasing at their launch but if you want to see more, visit them at http://gipsyscarlet.livejournal.com . I’ll update their official website on this post once they are fully launched!

I’ve been slow on emails and responses and I know my site was down for a few days last week but I’ve managed to find some good and free internet connection and as far as I know it, everything is fixed.

Today’s posts is all about good buys for the Christmas and Chinese New Year festive season. I’ve covered my recommended accessory in my previous post so here’s my recommendation for your feet.

Lovely affordable good quality Ballet Flats from Xquisis!

Isn’t those Xquisis flats just fabulous! All the lovely crystals and in that lovely shade of silver! ( They also have them in gold… both really easy to match colors.) The shoes are really soft and bendable so it’s pretty perfect for holidays or popping into you handbag in cause you want to change out of your 4″ stilettos at the end of the day.

I would have had them on my feet even more often if only the weather isn’t so chilly! For those who are keen on the Serena flats, do take a size bigger or email Xquisis for more details on the measurements.

Xquisis manufactures their own shoes and  listens to their customers. They design their shoes to be soft and comfortable without compromising on the style factor. If you think that these Serena diamond crusted ballerina flats are nice, you should check out the rest of their collection with more coming in December.

Xquisis has so very kindly sponsored me another black satin ballet flats called Karen. ( Love how it’s named after me! )

These are even more comfy then the Serena ballet flats cause it has a rounded front. The satin bows are detachable and can be used on your tops or you could wear it like I do, as a hair accessory. I am even considering using these bows on my hot pink heels to give it more spice. I love products that give me versatility cause it allows me to re-invent more looks with the same items and that’s a huge bonus when you’re travelling and living out of a suitcase.

The color is true to the first picture but I took the 2nd picture with flash so you could see how silky and shiny the satin is. Other than these 2 ballet flats, Xquisis also sells heels and bags… if you want to see and know more, please visit them at http://xquisis.livejournal.com. If I remember correctly, I think the Karen flats are selling really fast.

I’m still in the cold winter region but I thought I wanted to share this gorgeous bib necklace I got from Starglace for those of you who would like to spice your festive outfits up a bit. Yes, they are the same company I got my lovely white dress from previously.

I absolutely adore this beaded necklace cause it seems to instantaneously add some great details to any outfit. From a simple black turtleneck to a glamorous party dress.

It works on almost all the outfits I’ve tried it on and although it looks like part of the top or dress when worn, I don’t have to worry about hand washing or sending my outfit to the dry cleaners since it’s a necklace and not attached to my outfit.

Here’s another outfit I wore it with…

See how the Starglace Bib necklace gives this simple black lace dress more dimension? And you can adjust the ribbon on the necklace to as high or as low as you would want to wear the necklace.  I’ve seen similar bib necklace at many designer collections and you can choose to get the Oscar De La Renta version for $1300 but this Starglace version with all the lovely beadings and shine, allows me the same gorgeous style for just a mere $24. It’s a steal not to be missed! Makes a good Christmas present for girl friends too. Clothes may not fit but accessories are a girls best friend.

Just to show you the versatility of the necklace, here’s another outfit I paired it up with.

Starglace also carries a wonderful clothes collection that is worth looking out for. So do get your necklaces from http://starglace.livejournal.com for the festive season before they all run out!

I had a great day at the Qian Hu fish farm looking out for exotic fishes.

They even had chickens and roosters which were really well kept with gorgeous feathers.

The koi fishes were so pretty and huge in many various colors.

I wore this outstanding cyan top sponsored by J’adore Couture. I absolutely love the refreshing color!

J’adore Couture self-manufactures their pieces so you can be sure of more exclusive pieces and colors. In fact the first pick I had from their collection was all sold out before I could lay my hands on it!

They are currently having a sale and a number of lovely items are going for less then $20… another good place to source for Christmas presents! And as a special for renzze.com blog readers, just quote ” Renzze” when placing your orders and you’ll get $1 off every non-sale item you purchase from them!

Another unique thing I found especially adorable was J’adore Couture’s twin models. They look fabulous in all the outfits and it’s the first blog shop I’ve came across using twin models.

Go visit http://j-adorecouture.blogspot.com to stock up on great buys while I enjoy the rest of my afternoon with the fishes =)

A little break away from my KL postings to bring you yet another bag care tutorial! I’ve covered How to Clean your Leather Bags and How to Condition your Leather Bags in my last two video bag spa tutorials.

In this latest video segment, I will show you how to protect your leather bags.

Watch the video to see how I use Apple Garde to protect my bags from rain and stain.

Remember that leather is a natural material and should never be stored in plastic because it encourages the growth of mildew and bacteria and will ruin the leather. Always store leather in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Since I live in a very humid country like Singapore, I even go the extra mile and put moisture absorbers such as “Thirsty Hippos” or silica gels in my bag storage areas to discourage molding.

Moisture barriers are extremely crucial in preventing rain or other liquid hazards from damaging leather. It also helps prevent stains from perspiration, body oil, wine and grease.

You’ll need a piece of mahjong paper/towels or any kind of surface coverings and a leather protector.

I’ll be using Apple Guard rain and stain repellant as it allows the bags to breath and it’s also usable on non-leather surfaces such as fabric, canvas and metal. Perfect for those LV monogrammed canvas bags.

You may get Apple products from http://www.lovingyourbags.com and as a special treat for my readers, just use the discount code LYBRENZZE to get a 5% off plus free local mail! ( They are the sole official distributer of Apple Leather products in Asia Pacific!)

First, lay your working area. I’m using a piece of mahjong paper as it’ll be much easier to dispose off later on. You may use towels or rags or any sort of surface covering to protect your working area.

It’s best to do this indoors, away from direct sunlight in a well ventilated area.

Shake well then hold the can at least 6 inches away from your bag and lightly mist your bag in an up down motion. Make sure you get the leather trimmings as well. Your bag seems darker but that’s normal. It will revert back to its original color once it’s completely dry.

Spray one side and let it dry overnight or longer till almost all the liquid has dried off. Wipe off the residue and flip it over to spray the other side. Again allow 24 hours or more to dry before wiping the bag down.

If you are in a hurry, instead of waiting overnight, you can let the bag dry for 20-30 minutes before wiping off the remaining residue.

It’s that easy! And you don’t have to worry about soiling your thousands of dollars investment anytime soon! The best thing to do is to spray a bag protector like Apple Garde every time you have a brand new purchase so it will always be as perfect as the day you bought it.

Don’t forget to check out Loving Your Bags festive offerings in December for even more specials!

I’m gonna interject my KL trip postings to post on a gorgeous little white dress from Starglace.

As you all might know I have a soft spot for white simple dresses! And this soft cotton jersey one hits all the right notes! Love the flow and the pleats.

I know that there are many blogstores out there these days but in terms of quality and service, Starglace is probably in the top 95 percentile. The 2 owners of Starglace are so efficient that it’s makes shopping online such a wonderful experience.

Furthermore, their selection of clothes are rather stylish and even though this dress was sponsored by them, when I saw their new collection out, I quickly bought yet another dress! I can totally see myself as a regular customer in the months to come.

If you want to see their whole collection, visit them at http://starglace.livejournal.com and be dazzled!

In fact in this photo taken at the star studded Burberry official store opening event, all 3 girls in the picture below are wearing Starglace outfits! Melva in the studded black dress, Wendy in Ebony Elektra Embellished Dress ( which I bought!) and Fiona had on the Betthany Balmain Jacket which I’m so tempted to get cause the material and cutting for this piece is superb!

And here’s leaving you with the full length photo of the gorgeous outfits.
