Regular readers of my blog would know the drill, I’m away which means emails and comments reply would take longer but I will get to them eventually. Meanwhile I’ll try to keep the blog updated even though I’m not around.
I’m heading of to a beach resort on a sudden impromptu trip with girlfriends… at this point I kinda regret saying yes but the ticket’s been bought so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the trip will be worth it.
Here’s leaving you with 2 photos of myself I took in Taiwan as a prelude of more to come.
They were taken indoors and outdoors respectively when my camera was all fogged up by the morning cold mist and turned out pretty nice with a redish and bluish tones.
Hey all! This is just a notice to let you all know that I’m currently not in Singapore so any messages, emails and comments will take longer to reply but I’ll still be able to read them. I didn’t put up my away banner this time cause I’m still not done with posts on Taiwan.
I just got back and already my plate of to-do is overflowing ( reports… weddings… assignments… housework!). Still, it’s great to be home and to be able to spend time with my doggies and do simple things like cooking or meeting up my family and friends (I haven’t seen them in ages and which I’ve yet to do!).
I’ve removed my “away” banner and replaced it with a new one… no prizes for guessing what I will be blogging about in the next couple of days! I actually wanted to blog sooner but as it turns out, I had some technical difficulties and couldn’t get my photos uploaded. In fact I still owe some people photos ( sorry Holly) and I couldn’t do up some of my assignments on time.
But it’s all gonna be fine cause all my technical issues seem to be coming together just fine. I am now able to upload pics… my BB that recently died ( I lost everyone’s contacts for awhile) has miraculously revived itself and is working like new.
I did mention that I do like cooking (especially when it’s more of the baking variety) when I have spare time on my hands… so I made some Hawaiian pizzas.
Yummy!
And the fresh pineapple I bought to cook came with the standard tag with rubber band. This I gave to Louis so he could use it as a hat! Hehe.
He was happy with his new hat… and stayed with me in the kitchen while I baked.
Here was the outfit I wore to run some errands… pass a friend a belated birthday gift and then to the supermarket to gather all the ingredients for the pizza.
Pantsuits can be quite fun sometimes!
Close up of accessories and shoes… I wasn’t supposed to be wearing those green earrings… I found them dropped in my car and was afraid I’ll lose them again so I decided that the safest way was to wear them till I got home but I forgot to take them off before my outfit photos were taken!
I know a lot of you out there have been asking me when my next clothes sale will be.
Previously, some readers feedback that I didn’t give any advance notice of my sales and they were unable to get the items they wanted. While friends would tell me which items they want to buy way before I know if I was going to sell it so I could never remember who wanted what.
Thus, to be fair, from now on I’ll always announce a few days before my next sale when I will be releasing my pre-loved items. The next one will be 7th September 2009, Monday at 10pm.
That should give those who can’t access my blog during office hours enough time to log on at home. =)
I started using Twitter for about a month already. When I first started tweeting I found it pretty silly. Reading and typing my current thoughts into a 140 character sentence. Never thought that I’ll get so caught up with this social networking craze but with my Blackberry it got pretty addictive. It made catching up on my friends really easy too! It’s perfect for someone who’s always on the go like me.
Since tweeting has become a part of what I do so often, I’ve incorporated twitter on my blog. You can see my latest update on my side bar and if you follow me on twitter you might get to know me a little more personally too. I tend to reply to twits faster then emails I check them when I’m on the move and I rarely go on MSN. As for facebook messages, well don’t bother waiting if it’s urgent. I’ll probably be too late.
Here’s leaving you with some outfit posts.
Threw on a jacket before I left the house cause I was planning to stay out late.
And I know some of my readers have been emailing me to ask what do I wear underneath those short dresses/long tops and what do I mean by short frilly short… so for you all… here’s the picture of my shorts. Its the same kind I wore under those short frilly skirts that I wore in my recent Tokyo posts.
Hey all, I’ve changed my banner again to be more in tune with what I’ll be blogging. For those who missed out on my last transformers banner which I had up for only 3 days, click here to view.
I’m sure there are many of you out there who are sadden by Michael Jackson’s death yesterday. I’m an 80s child and Michael Jackson’s CD was one of the first few CDs my family owned. I was amazed by the quality of CDs over cassette tapes and would play MJ’s music over and over again while I gyrated to the music.
Quoting Anita Kapoor:
” … you taught us to tell people to Beat It,
that life was a Thriller,
to look at the Man in the Mirror,
that it don’t matter if you’re Black or White,
that once in a while you gotta be Bad,
but You Are Not Alone,
that it’s Human Nature to Wanna Be Starting Somethin’,
and right now,
we all wish we could have Rocked With You,
just one more time.”
Just to let you peeps know that I’ve already fixed my mailing list subscription. I know that quite a number of you haven’t been receiving my post updates even when you’ve signed up and some of you have emailed me from months back to let me know of this issue. I haven’t had time to work on it till recently and it’s all fixed! It seemed that my old codes couldn’t sustain the large amount of subscribers. I had started this blog a long time back and didn’t see the need to worry about that back then but I guess thanks to the support of readers and friends, renzze.com has grown quite a bit. This new fix will enable thousands of subscription so I think I would need to change it again any time soon.
If you’ve received notification in your email for this post then there is no need for you to sign up again. But if you don’t and would like to be on the mailing list for new posts, please sign up via the mailing list subscription link on the top left of my side bar.
I haven’t updated or viewed my blog in a week! Sorry for the late replies!
I promised my Singapore Flyer post some time back… and here it is!
To be absolutely honest, I wasn’t a big fan of the flyer. I know it’s a main Singapore icon and all but it was a little too tacky in my opinion and not at all original as an icon since everyone has already heard of the London Eye. Thus, since the opening, I have never once ventured to take the Singapore Flyer.
As luck would have had it, I was in the possession of free flyer tickets and decided to take the opportunity to try the Flyer. When I was there, the Flyer was having its 1st year celebration. 93.3FM deejays were there hosting games in conjunction with the Flyers celebration activities. Standing next to one of the deejays in queue to redeem my free ticket, I was selected to participate in a jigsaw puzzle competition. Winning that, I had on my hands, MORE FREE TICKETS!!! LOL. I gave alway my free tickets to the guy behind me in the queue. He was a little dubious about my generous action and kept asking me if I was sure I didn’t want any form of payment for the tickets. I guess getting the free tickets should have put Singaporeans in a better light for this man’s holiday experience in the southeast.
The Singapore Flyer is currently the largest ferris wheel in the world ( The Great Beijing Wheel will take over as the largest ferris wheel once it opens sometime next year) and takes about 30mins or so for a full rotation. The sunset view on board the Flyer was beautiful though I believe that the sights will be much better once the IR project has been completed.
After the ride, we took a short walk next door to see the car roadshow. Lots of expensive luxury cars!
A quick walk around the little rainforest garden before heading home to pick Louis and Emmie for dinner at the park.
Here are some videos of South Pier and Singapore Flyer. I’ve also updated my banner =)
First, the video of South Pier and those fancy cars.
I guess some of you noticed when I changed my banner to the “sick” announcement. Well I changed it again… the swimming prawn will give you all a preview to the video I’m gonna post tomorrow. I wanted to post it up today but was not feeling up to it. Instead I’ll just leave you all with a simple outfit post and sleep early so that I can do up a nicer longer post tomorrow. *muacks* and goodnight.
If you are wondering why so many of my photos are taken at the park… well.. I do have 2 very active dogs which I take for walks after I finish work or meeting up with friends or running errands.
I’ve had a few questions from friends and family regarding their avatar when they comment on my post. Apparently the random monsters aren’t a big hit. lol…
Well, you can customize your own avatar for my site comments as well as any other sites or blogs you visit by using Gravatar. All you need to register is your email and then upload the avatar of you choice!
Here’s the picture I used for my avatar. A comic drawing of me =)

Renzze: gigi,
I don't stay at B & B in London so I can't help you out there but for shopping you can go Oxford St, Bond St, Covent Gardens, Knightsbridge and Portobello Market. Of course Harrods is probably as iconic a shopping center as you would get in London:)
YNAJ: Hi just want to ask how much is one Longchamp Le Pliage Medium Long handle bag in HKIA? Duty Free, thanks!
